• Keep away from direct sunlight and heat sources.

1. The first burn matters most

On first lighting, let the candle burn for 2–3 hours until the entire wax surface is liquid. This prevents so-called tunnelling.

2. Trim the wick

Trim the wick to about 5 mm before each use. This ensures a calm, clean flame and less soot.

3. Avoid draughts

Do not place the candle in a draught — it makes the flame flicker and the wax burn unevenly.

4. Limit the burn time

Never burn a candle for longer than 4 hours at a time, and never unattended.
